According to our weather of West Bengal team, Deep Depression over Coastal kanyakumari coast, Intensify into a Cyclonic Storm Ockhi today morning, it's rapidly grow up its intensity and we are also expecting that this system will be further intensify into Severe cyclonic Storm in just few hours.
This system current pressure 997mb and wind speed 80 to 90 kmph and sustain gust wind speed reach 98 kmph.
This wind speed range may be cross 100 kmph in next one and half hours.
This system now located 80 km south west from thiruvanthapuram, 90 km west of Kanyakumari. It's move west north west words with a speed of 28 kmph in past 6 hours.
Its now particularly stationery in same location.
Sea surface temperature around the system is 28°C to 29°C.
But then it will be continue to weakening.
So don't create any panic. No chance of any strong system impact our west coast of the India in next few days. Just lite to modarate shower will be expected in next week in Mumbai.
This system will be weakening rapidly after next 48hours over cooler sea surface in arabian sea region.
But next 24 hours Rain will be continue in coastal kerela and karnataka region.
Today kerela receive 180mm or above rainfall many places of the region.
Sea condition will be very rough and strong wind with 70 to 80kmph effecting the kerela coast in next 24 hours.
After tomorrow morning weather of kerela slowly starting to improve.
🔴 Fisherman of kerela advices not to be venture into the sea for next 48hours.
