It's time for sky watcher and People of west bengal to experience of cosmological incident, held on 31st January.
A Super blood blue Moon will be seen in india since the year 1982 after 35 years and those who are in US are going to see it after over 150 years.
Let's see what is super blood blue moon ?
Super Moon:
A Full Moon when it is occurring when the center of the Moon is less than 360,000 kilometers from the center of Earth is called super moon what is the opposite of this. Its called Micro Moon: A Full Moon that takes place when the center of the Moon is farther than 405,000 kilometers from the center of Earth.
What happens when there is a Super Moon ?
A Super Moon looks about 30% brighter and about 14% larger than an average Full Moon. Now u understood what is a Super Moon. In simple words Pournami (Full moon) happening when moon is closer to earth.
Blood Moon (Lunar Eclipse) occur at least twice a year.
Blood Moon is not a scientific term, though in recent times it is being widely used to refer to a total lunar eclipse because a fully eclipsed Moon often takes on a reddish color.
So, why does the Moon turn red?
A total lunar eclipse happens when the Moon travels through the Earth's umbra and blocks all direct sunlight from illuminating the Moon's surface. However, some sunlight still reaches the lunar surface indirectly, via the Earth's atmosphere, bathing the Moon in a reddish, yellow, or orange glow.
BLUE Moon ...!!!!
Technically a Blue Moon is an extra full moon that occurred in a season. One season (winter, spring, fall, summer) typically has three full moons. If a season has four full moons, then the third full moon may be called a Blue Moon. However, the March 1946 issue of Sky & Telescope misinterpreted the traditional definition, which led to the modern colloquial misunderstanding that a blue moon is a second full moon in a single solar calendar month. So the error has changed the definition of Blue moon and as usual we go with what is wrong definition.
Super Blue Blood Moon (All above three happening at same time)
Now assume all the above three are happening at same time, 'super blue blood moon' is the result of a blue moon, the second full moon in a calendar month occurring at the same time as a super moon, when the moon is closer to Earth in its orbit known as perigee and about 14 percent larger and 30 per cent brighter than usual. It also combines with a blood moon, the moment during a lunar eclipse when the moon,
which is in the Earth's shadow, takes on a reddish.
